Valentine’s Day 2026 was a busy one for us, and one of our favourite proposal setups took place in a perfect little studio tucked away in West London. Ladbroke Grove was the location, and Genuine Studios was the venue hosting us for a beautiful surprise proposal.
It was the perfect February day - clear, blue skies, sunshine, and we arrived nice and early to get everything set up. The heart backdrop was in place, the carpet was laid, candles were lit, and petals were delicately placed around the room. Everything was ready for the unsuspecting fiancée-to-be to walk into the surprise of a lifetime.
Everything went smoothly, exactly as planned… and of course, she said “Yes!”
Genuine Studios is such a great option for proposals because you can hire the space for exactly how long you need it. In this case, we had a three-hour turnaround, which gave the couple complete privacy and freedom to enjoy the moment without feeling rushed.
Another big advantage is the location. Ladbroke Grove is a lovely part of West London, and there are plenty of great spots nearby where you can head afterwards for dinner reservations to celebrate properly.
The venue itself is spacious, yet still feels intimate and private. It works perfectly whether you want it to be just the two of you, or if you want to have friends and family waiting to celebrate afterwards. One of the standout features of Genuine Studios is the large, tall windows that flood the space with natural light, which makes it perfect for photos and videos. It’s a space frequently used for modelling and content shoots.
Hotel rooms are usually the first place people think of when planning a proposal, however studio spaces can often be a much better option. They’re more flexible, more private, and you have complete control over the setup and timings.
