A Romantic Proposal in a Private Igloo at Coppa Club, London
London has no shortage of incredible proposal settings, but every now and then, a venue comes along that genuinely surprises us with how perfectly it lends itself to the moment. Coppa Club on the Thames was exactly that. A beautiful riverside restaurant with iconic views of Tower Bridge, a relaxed and romantic atmosphere and, most uniquely of all, a collection of igloo dining pods that can be closed off to create something completely private in the middle of one of the most stunning outdoor settings in the city.
This one was special. Here's how it came together.
The Venue
Coppa Club sits right on the bank of the Thames in the heart of London, with Tower Bridge directly in front of it. It's a venue that attracts people for its views, its food and its atmosphere, and it's become well known for its distinctive igloo pods, which sit on the riverside terrace and offer an intimate dining experience within a fully enclosed, transparent dome.
For a proposal, the combination of factors here is genuinely hard to beat. The riverside setting is naturally romantic. Tower Bridge provides one of the most iconic backdrops in London. And the igloo pods, when closed, create a completely private space that feels entirely separate from the world around it, despite being right in the middle of a public venue.
It's that balance of intimacy and spectacle that makes Coppa Club such a brilliant proposal setting, and one we'd recommend to any couple looking for something a little different in London.
The Setup
Inside the igloo, we created a setup that felt warm, romantic and celebratory from every angle. Red rose petal arrangements across the floor, heart balloons filling the upper half of the dome, candles flickering around the table and illuminated Marry Me letter lights glowing behind the seating area. Red floral arrangements on gold stands framed the space on either side, and the overall effect, seen through the transparent walls of the dome from outside, was nothing short of stunning.
From outside the igloo, with Tower Bridge lit up in the background and the setup glowing inside the dome, it looked like something from a film. The kind of image that makes people stop and look twice.
The Moment
She had absolutely no idea. As the sun set over Tower Bridge and the Thames glittered in the evening light, she walked up to the igloo and opened the door. The reaction was immediate and completely unfiltered. Tears, hands over her mouth, pure disbelief at what was waiting for her inside.
He got down on one knee. She said yes. And with Tower Bridge reflected in the river behind them and the city carrying on around them, completely unaware, it was one of those moments that felt entirely theirs.
