A Romantic Sunset Proposal at Courtyard by Marriott London Heathrow Airport, PK Restaurant
Some proposals take months to plan, while others come together at short notice and still feel as though every detail was meant to be. This surprise proposal at the Courtyard by Marriott London Heathrow Airport was one of those special occasions.
Set against a beautiful sunset, with planes taking off from Heathrow in the distance, the evening felt relaxed, intimate and incredibly romantic. Most importantly, this proposal was to be a complete surprise.
The venue - Courtyard by Marriott
This romantic proposal took place at the Courtyard by Marriott London Heathrow Airport, inside a private event space at PK Restaurant.
Located on the hotel’s top floor, the venue offers impressive stunning across Heathrow Airport. It is a brilliant choice for a private proposal in West London, particularly for couples looking for a relaxed and intimate setting away.
The timing could not have been better. A beautiful sunset filled the room with warm light, while planes could be seen taking off and landing in the background. It created a unique setting for a London hotel proposal and made the evening feel even more memorable.'
The proposal setup
Despite being organised at short notice, everything came together beautifully.
At the centre of the setup was our large pink and white floral heart, accompanied by a glowing “Will You Marry Me?” sign. A white walkway covered with pink and red rose petals led towards the heart, bordered by white flowers, candles and elegant gold flute-candle stands.
We also placed illuminated “Marry Me” letters beside the windows, where they could be seen against the sunset and airport views. The combination of pink flowers, candlelight and warm evening light created a romantic proposal setup that felt elegant without being too formal.
When the couple walked into the restaurant, we had one person quietly follow them in without raising any suspicions, and another two cameras hidden to capture every possible angle of the surprise.
The surprise
She had no idea what was waiting for her, and the shock on her face was simply brilliant.
He guided her into the private space, along the rose-petal walkway towards the floral heart. Her reaction when she saw the proposal decorations was completely genuine, and most importantly, she said yes!
After the proposal, they had time to take photographs, admire the ring and enjoy the setup together. PK restaurants offers delicious food, allowing the couple to sit outside on the terrace and enjoy a meal afterwards. Everything about this proposal felt natural, which is exactly what we love.
