A Spontaneous Rooftop Proposal in London - Planned in a Weekend
Some proposals take months of planning. Others take a weekend. This one was the latter, and it was every bit as perfect as if it had been in the diary for a year.
We received the enquiry on a Friday. By Monday evening, the setup was done, the ring was on, and two people were standing on a London rooftop with the entire city skyline behind them, newly engaged. That's what we do.
The Brief
Our client was visiting London from Norway with his partner, on a holiday that was about to become something much more significant. With just a few days to pull everything together, he reached out to PopTheQ looking for a luxury proposal setup that could be planned quickly, executed smoothly and feel completely seamless on the day. No stress, no visible scramble, just a moment she'd never forget.
We said yes immediately. Challenge accepted.
The Setup
The rooftop setting was a stunning introduction to the city, with sweeping views across the London skyline, iconic towers glittering in the background as dusk settled in. We built everything around that view, making it the centrepiece of the whole experience.
We setup up our white rose heart arch, which is absolutely perfect for these summer proposals, with our white carpet and bouquets. Candles lined the walkway, with loose rose petals drifting peacefully on the balcony - it really was a magical setup, which transformed as the sun set.
The Moment
The proposal was kept as a complete surprise - it was just the two of them in an intimate and private event. He got down on one knee as the city lights began to flicker on around them, and she said yes against one of the most breathtaking backdrops London has to offer.
The joy on their faces was everything. Huge congratulations to this beautiful couple - what a way to remember a trip to London. 💍
